Briefing Packs That Stand Alone Without Extra Slides
A method for pairing the service dashboard with a one-page pack that chairs can read from during standing reviews.
Many teams still build a separate slide deck the night before each review. The deck drifts from the board, and the discussion splits into two stories.
A durable pattern is a one-page pack that mirrors the board: same indicator order, same period labels, and a short note field under each block for the section lead.
Print the pack in advance. The chair marks exceptions in the room; the note field becomes the action list after the meeting.
When the board and pack share structure, the team stops rewriting slides and starts updating the underlying figures on a fixed cadence.
We leave slide software for special presentations—budget hearings, public forums—not for the standing service review.
